moth – wet summer
During an exceptionally wet summer I decided to go hunting for insects hiding from the rain. Souls in the Undergrowth was born. It became apparent during this project that most of the insects, when photographed, looked straight into the lens. Moth – wet summer is about the strange ‘relationship’ I formed through eye contact with these tiny creatures. (read about John Berger’s “. . . abyss of non-comprehension . . .” for the background to these studies).
